After being diagnosed with Psoriasis, I felt lost. Years went by and I tried almost every supplement, and alternative therapy I could find. The flare ups would calm down one week than rain hell fire the next. It has been an emotional roller coaster, and a spiritual struggle. How could I have gone from a healthy happy person to a stressed out itchy mess?
On top of struggling with the discomfort of Psoriasis and the embarrassment of dandruff and my thinning hair, new symptoms started to appear. Migraine headaches on a weekly basis, aching joints, muscle stiffness and weakness. Chronic sinus inflammation and allergies. As soon as one thing disappeared another would take its place. I tried going to a conventional doctor to get answers and felt sad that nothing could be resolved.
Disheartened by the fact that my skin wasn’t going in to remission my research led me to the Paleo Approach. A Paleo diet that removes potential inflammatory foods to allow the body to heal. A whole foods based diet that removes all grains and legumes, nuts and seeds, eggs, and nightshades. Limiting your food intake to only nourishing foods that heal and soothe leaky gut and inflammation.
This blog is for me to stay accountable to the protocol and to share my success and struggles with the hope to inspire anyone else who is in search of their optimal wellness.
